Upending

So, picture this: I am at the Biennale of Venice in 2019, and I get this wild idea for a virtual reality experience that focuses on hands and lying down ๐Ÿ›Œ๐Ÿฝ to attract a new audience โœจ.

I teamed up with gifted Allison Crank to design the user experience.

Our project, Upending, becomes an immersive game set in a floating city ๐Ÿ—ฝ where a mother searches for her lost daughter, and the user helps her by applying forces and navigating through the city.

With multiple endings ๐ŸŒฑ and accessible ๐ŸŽฎ gameplay, the game offers a captivating and emotional journey.

๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿฝ The unique aspect of Upending is its intuitive user experience.

Users lie down with the city mapped to their ceiling and use hand gestures to manipulate the environment and propel the mother through the floating city.

The generational conflict between the mother and daughter ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฝ and their struggle to adapt to a changing world form the emotional core of our adventure.
