I met Jo from WOWL, a Swiss immersive production house, back in 2019 ⏮️, and we bonded over our shared passion for innovative and moving experiences.
Jo wanted a fishing game 🚣♀️, so I teamed up with the talented Allison Crank for the user experience, and together we came up with a story about a character returning to Neuchatel, Switzerland, to mourn while fishing.
We were delighted to have BAFTA-winner director Milan Baulard and Yann Boyer as our talented art directors and received support from CNC, Cineforom, and the Geneva International Film Festival. 💖
Emma meets Jean-Claude, the nasty seagull
Emma meets Jean-Claude, the nasty seagull
📖 The story follows Emma 😒, who, after her father and brother disappeared on a fishing trip, decides to catch the biggest fish and somehow bring her brother back.
Along the way, she meets Michel 🍷🍷🍷🍷, a retired drunk champion fisherman.
Through their shared journey, they explore themes of adulthood, grief, and respect for the environment.
I drew on my own childhood experiences in nature and love of fishing to create the world and characters of this immersive VR game. 🧒🏼⛰️
Our team, including Small Creative and led by Marine Le Borgne, a fantastic game designer, worked tirelessly to bring this weird, funny game to life.
We delivered a solid vertical slice 🧨 in March 2023, and now we can’t wait to jump into the production of the whole story of Emma 🤦🏽♀️.

As Writer & Director, I co-created this fishing-themed VR adventure, blending humor, mythology, and emotional storytelling (I hope! 🤞🏼), while collaborating with a dream team of artists & developers. 🎣
